Naas Racecourse has recently undergone a
complete facelift, the facilities now are much improved and well
worth a visit.
Located about 30 minutes journey time from Dublin,
see map above, Naas, or Nas na Riogh (Seat of the Kings)is an
expanding town which has a long history of Horse Racing.
Very
close to several other Horse Racing facilities such as, Goffs
(Bloodstock Sales), The Irish Thoroughbred Breeders Association, The
Curragh Racecourse, Punchestown Racecourse, The Irish National Stud
(in Kildare Town), and many others, Naas racecourse, and Kildare
area in general is the best to visit for enthusaists.
Both codes
of racing take place here, both Flat and Jumps, and the quality is
reasonably high. Good attendances make up for lively sessions in the
town after the racing and if you are in the area and your visit
co-incides with one of the fixtures below be sure to
visit.
