This small provincial racecourse has seen
amazing increases in the numbers of spectators attending due to the
fact that they mostly have evening meetings during the
summer.
All of these are very well attended because the
racecourse has actively sought sponsors for most races the quality
of the racing is quite good too.
The course undulates and criss
crosses roads and paths which makes for good spectator viewing, if
you go take a trip to the 3rd last fench during a steeplechase race.
You will enjoy the spectacle of horse and jockey trying to negotiate
the tricky Ditch.
Although our best horses do not race here the
racing is always competitive which makes for a lively betting
market. If the weather is good a summer's evening racing in
