The Tralee Festival, which also
includes the ROSE OF TRALEE Gala, is another of the
Irish Festivals that "take hold of the Country" for over
a whole week.
One of the premier festivals of the world,
the Rose of Tralee Festival attracts thousands of visitors to
Tralee each August. The highlights of the week is the
selection of the International Rose of Tralee. The contestants
come from every corner of the world and symbolise the Irish
characteristics of warmth, friendliness and outgoing good
humour.
Outdoor entertainment for all the family is a
hallmark of the festival. Featured are an unrivalled range of
popular music, country, magical shows, street theatre, circus
and parades - 'All Free'
This year's Festival will also
include cultural and other Events, particularly Irish Language
Events
