Flights
Over 4 million passengers fly into Ireland from all over the world each year.
International Irish flights arrive at Ireland's three major airports; Dublin,
Shannon and Belfast. In addition, Aer Lingus, the Irish national airline, and
Ryan Air fly into six regional airports.

Ferries
Ferries run from the West coast of Britian to Dublin, Belfast and Rossalare on the southeast coast of Ireland.
Ferries also run from France to Rossalare. These ferries carry vehicles as well as passengers.

Ferry & Coach
The Eurolines service connects Ireland to the UK and other destinations in Europe through coach
service that arrives via the ferries. A single fare includes coach and ferry and can connect through
Bus Eireann’s bus services to destinations throughout Ireland. All Eurolines services are operated
with luxury coaches equipped with on-board toilets, reclining seats and panoramic viewing windows.

Direct Aer Lingus flights from the United States leave from New York, Boston, Chicago
and Los Angeles. Delta also flies from direct from Atlanta and Continental from Newark, NJ.
US and Canadian visitors can leave from these gateway cities for either Shannon or Dublin.

exact same seats!). Flying time to Ireland is 6½ hours from New York, 7½ hours from Chicago, 10 hours from
Los Angeles.
There are no direct flights from Canada to Ireland. Connections can be made through US airports,
London or other UK airports.

Airfares
High season (Summer and Christmas) fares for 2003 are currently (Winter 2003) being quoted
by Aer Lingus at about $300 round trip per person including taxes from the East
Coast. These fares may be as much as $600 if you are booking closer to the season.
Off season (Nov - March) rates are about $200.

Many European national carriers have daily flights from their major cities
and capitals. Aer Lingus, British Airways, Cityjet and Ryanair also fly from many
European cities into Dublin.
