Airfares
High season (June - July and Christmas) fares for 2002 are currently being quoted
by Aer Lingus at about $700 round trip per person including taxes from the East
Coast. Off season (Nov - March) rates are about $350. Fares at other times are
generally between the two but in recent years have been tending to be closer to
the high season fares.
Be aware that airline fares change constantly. Generally, as you get within 60
days of departure, fares begin to increase. However, if particular circumstances
warrant, special, lower fares may be offered. Fares may also vary based on the
days you travel. Weekend flights in season to tourist destinations like Ireland
generally cost a bit more. No matter who you book through, airfares will only
be guaranteed for a limited time after you make a reservation or when you actually
make payment. With other booking services or the airlines direct, it is possible
to get a quote one day and call a week later and get a significantly different
number.
theirishguide.com direct booking of airfares on Aer
Lingus through our associates, Sceptre Ireland, are less
expensive than those generally available elsewhere and are more
stable. Tickets for the 2002 season will be available through this service
at the beginning of the year.
