 Galway
City has a thriving pub culture and plenty of nightclubs
and music venues to entertain. You can find musicians in almost
every pub at night some traditional, but you will also find
jazz, rock and indie selections throughout the city. There is
a large student population in Galway, so you will always find
the atmosphere lively and something happening somewhere!!
Most of the good bars, restaurants, clubs and music venues are
located just off Eyre Square down Shop Street, Quay Street and
Cross Street. This area is safe and mainly pedestrianised and
there are always plenty of people around. Pubs in Galway generally
open from 10.30 am to 11.30 pm midweek, some of the music venues
with bars, listed below are open until 2am at the weekends. |

but you can dance the night away, good bars and atmosphere.
