na hEireann Listowel, Co Kerry The Fleadh is a weekend of
non-stop entertainment. This includes céilís, street and pub
sessions, gig rig entertainment, etc plus competitions on all
traditional instruments with over 4,000 competitors taking part.
These competitions will decide the world champions for 2001
both at an individual level and also for groups and bands; this
will include the much-coveted All-Ireland Céilí Band title.
More than 10,000 musicians normally participate in the Fleadh
Cheoil while the overall attendance at the event is usually
