Situated
alongside the River Funcheon in the heart of the lush Blackwater
Valley, Glanworth Mill offers a resting place for travellers
in its unique atmosphere of a water mill. Here you will enjoy
the best of fresh food served with warmth and care, whilst being
cocooned by the literature, art and craft work of the region
Each en suite bedroom is individually decorated in the style
of the writer it is named after. You may want to take afternoon
tea in the library, relax in the courtyard garden or stroll
around the river walk and watch the swans glide by.
For the more energetic there is a wealth of activities nearby
- historic trails and walking routes, houses and gardens to
visit, horse riding, golf and great fishing. So give yourself
time to relax, Glanworth Mill - a very special type of Country
Inn.
Glanworth Mill has excellent two restaurants; the Fleece'n'Loom
Restaurant and the Mill Tea Rooms. The Fleece and Loom restaurant
menus constantly change and offer the best seasonal foods. In
the Mill Tea Rooms bistro-style food is offered in a casual
atmosphere in superb surroundings. On view are the inner gears
of the mill wheel, encased in glass and these rotate slowly
as the mill wheel swishes gently outside. Meals are also served
in the courtyard gardens.
The food is fresh modern Irish with a mixture of traditional
and Continental dishes which change to match the Seasons. Glanworth's
Head Chef, Ronald, has a wealth of international experience
including several years in top restaurants around the world.
Ronald enjoys welcoming all our guests personally and he even
greets our Dutch, French, Italian and German visitors fluently
in their own tongue. All breads, pastries and scrumptious desserts
are prepared on the premises by our Pastry Chef. If you have
any special dietary needs, we will be happy to try and fulfill
your requirements.

| THE IRISH GUIDE COMMENTS |
This small Premier Hotel is one of County Cork's
best kept secrets, The food is excellent and the service unobtrusive
and very efficient. The Hotel is in a wonderful setting ideal
for travelling the south west of Ireland and exploring the wonderful
Blackwater Valley. Glanworth village is small and has a number
of fine tourist attractions in the locality. The village itself
can well lay claim to be the most historic in Ireland, several
ruins of Abbeys, Churches, Castles and Keeps are nearby and
are easily reached within walking distance. The Hotel itself
is a converted Water Mill and has only 12 rooms, each unique
in style and named after a local Artist. The bedroom's are Themed
with wonderful decor and are very comfortable. The atmosphere
is welcoming and very laid back. We thoroughly recommend Glanwoth
to all. If you would like to know more please use banner below
