The Castle has been intertwined in the history of Connemara and its people for many centuries, from the days of the O'Flaherty chieftains and Grace O'Malley to Humanity Dick Martin and H.R.H. the Maharajaj Ranjitsinji.
The location of the Hotel is excellent for those wishing to visit the beautiful Connemara and Galway countryside. Internally it has a charm which can best be described as 'Casual Country Elegance'. Local fresh produce is used to create culinary delights for our dining room with its panoramic view of Ballynahinch River.

In addition the Ballynahinch Fishery is world-renowned as one of the finest salmon and seatrout rivers in Ireland. Fishing is reserved for Hotel guests so you can rest assured that you are not crowded out.
