Ballycormac house is a 350 year old Irish farmhouse surrounded by 20 acres of farmland in the beautiful Tipperary countryside. With 7 guest rooms, including a beautiful honeymoon suite with a four- poster bed, it offers warm and comfortable accommodation in a peaceful and tranquil setting. Guests very much enjoy the informal and relaxed family atmosphere at Ballycormac, and many have become very frequent visitors. Dinner is a set 4-course meal using home-grown soft fruit and vegetables and good quality local produce.
Ideally placed as a base from which to explore the length and breadth of Ireland, being almost in the centre, Ballycormac House is about 2 hours from Dublin airport and ferries and 1 hour from Shannon airport. Specialising in equestrian based holidays there are about 20 horses and ponies, and suitable mounts for both the novice and experienced rider. Most of the horses are Irish Draught and thoroughbred crosses and Connemara ponies. John & Cherylynn also buy and sell proven riding and hunting horses and ponies.
There are five parkland golf courses nearby, rounds of golf can be arranged on request. Water sports are available on nearby Lough Derg and angling can also be availed of. There are many other activities to avail of in the area including the 2nd largest outdoor go-kart track in Europe which is nearby.

John and Cherylynn offer a warm welcome to their guests and you feel immediately at home in their lovely farmhouse. Their gardens provide most of the vegetables and soft fruits for their dinner menus combined with the best locally produced lamb and beef. Rack of Lamb with a herb and oatmeal crust or Fillet Steak with Cashel cheese are just a sample of the delicious food on offer. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced rider, there are horses or ponies to suit you. John & Cherlylnn can arrange Golf, Fishing or Watersports to assure you of an exhilarating holiday, or you can just relax and soak up the tranquil atmosphere of the surrounding area.
